It took longer than I thought for the price to pull back nearer $2, but today it did so with a rush. From this it is obvious that:
1) The price is on its way back below $1.80 where KSC is (IMO) compelling value
2) The price will hover just above $2.00 for several months until the next dividend comes into view for even the short sighted
3) The price will jump back above $2.20 where it offers fair value for the long term.
4) None or all of the above
So based on this reasoning I am convinced I have no idea how best to proceed. Hence I bought back in today, but only about half my target holding, so whatever happens to the price from here I can be sure that I can:
1) Buy some more and average down to a decent holding
2) Accumulate more and build a decent holding
3) Take a 10%+ capital gain in lieu of a 7%+ dividend
4) Happily hold a high (and growing) dividend paying stock for many many years...
Hard not to like that set of options!!
