You're logic is correct EOS and I hope that all the readers of these posts get a free lesson in how business works at the corporate level in Australia (and most other countries today..viz.. GFC).
Rule number 1 .. Assume that ethics are a thing of the past.
Rule number 2.. Corporate Australia works for corporate Australia and has no other interest except themselves.
Rule number 3.. Remember that the progeny of these people eg. MRE board etc. will appear on the business pages in 10 years times saying what a great contribution their fathers made to Australia.
Rule number 4... re read Rule number 1 and two everytime you consider investing.
