I don't think anyone had doubts about the value of the KI IO, Macs, just the cost of getting it back up and keeping it up. Without KI, MGX would be just another low grade producer. Its been evident for some time now that low grade ore has got increasingly large discounts applied to it and those discounts are a seismic shift in IO pricing, ie, they're here to stay. Only the likes of FMG can really make it work due to their size.
