Rab, the reasons for Bruce Higgins' not seeking to renew his contract are human and simple. His family had difficulties adjusting to life in the US, and Bruce is a man who puts his family first, and is prepared to make big financial sacrifices to be with them.

The conspiracy theorists have had a field day with this one, but they are are wrong this time.

That is not to say that there has not been sheer ineptitude and bloodymindedness displayed by some on the Board, failing (so far) to take appropriate steps to make use of his skills and experience. I still have strong hopes that will change!
