When looking at the old historical record of mines most of them extracted very high grade ore following the surface outcroppings down to no more than 30 meters. The old timers followed the gold from surface showings and stopped digging if the grade dropped to less than an ounce a ton. There is no way they would have bothered with 2 gpt ore or gone deeper than 30 meters for such a low grade. Times have changed and Calidus can run a profitable open pit operation at those sort of grades and there are going to be positive surprises whenever they come upon some of the bonanza grades that the original miners overlooked because they are too deep or just didn't make it to the surface. Drilling for reserves and resources is for bankers peace of mind and stock speculators, The gold is either there or not, and an open pit mine will find it regardless whether the high grade spots had been drilled or not. I am still buying.
