hi Kiwoz48,
KRM's decision to pay a divvie is supported by The Australian article entitled
"Miners strike gold in consolidation" which deals with the rift in SP of gold miners and the POG.
"The lacklustre performance of gold miners' shares compared with the stellar performance of the metal they dig up has been something of a head-scratcher.
Evy Hambro, joint chief investment officer of BlackRock's natural resources equities team has opined the divergence has to do with these companies' poor record on returns, which is why he is leading a charge for gold producers to hand shareholders more of the cash they are sitting on"
(The Australian p22, 20th Dec)
In the light of the above article, KRM's recent decision to consider paying a divvie in April should whet the appetite of instos such as BlackRock and bridge the gap between the lagging SP and the POG.
Cheers and a happy Xmas to all.(incl KRM board, management & staff)
