I am reading on quite a few mining websites /news items that 2.0 grams/ton seems to be the profitable level of a resource currently. Based on average costs and gold price recently.

Above this even in small amounts makes a mine seriously profitable depending on production amount.

It is interesting to note we had 345 gms/ton / @1-1.5 mtrs? [aprox don't quote me]

well this equates to 3.45gms/ton @ 100-150 mtrs!
better still with our figures we only need to dig 1-1.5 mtrs [costs of operation etc] instead of 100-150 mtrs [far ,far greater costs of operation!]
    Cost of production massively reduced.

look around, see what mines would think of having 100-150 mtrs @3.45 grams/ton.
    Economically profitable?
