AAC is a very disappointing 'show' from the time it came to the ASX as an IPO with Elders as the significant majority shareholder.
Many MD's and changes in management and strategy, buying and selling many properties for unexplained reasons and branding and re-branding their beef product - all for what.
I don't recall AAC has ever paid or looked liked paying a dividend.
It has ben recommended and 'spruiked' by all and sundry brokers and financial journalists.
Farming is a cyclical business heavy influenced by exchange rate , climatic conditions, droughts , high grain prices , high tariff levels and imports restriction on their beef into major market EU, Japan, Korea,
I think I will look from the sideline until AAC becomes a stable dividend paying business.
Who will the majority shareholder sell to! An overseas buyer would have little chance of getting the FIRB to approve the sale of a majority shareholding to an overseas buyer.
