This is a no- brainer.
As an electrical engineer I have often been thinking of ways in which windows could be used to generate power and also be reverse powered to become blackout or opaque. I have talked with colleagues about this for years and now this product has become available. I have read every thread on your site and can see that others are as excited about this potential game changing product.
Yes it may not be feasible to retro fit existing premises as each window would need to be fitted with a micro inverter or daisy chained in parallel back to a larger inverter before it can be fed back to the standard 230v network.
I have read the arguments by some posters (claiming to know about electrical systems) going on about voltage drops, wiring sizes and losses and can see that some have no idea about solar generation and electrical reticulation systems.
Positively a great product that I believe has a place in all new glass buildings. Remember that high rise building have a very small roof space for installing solar panels.
As for solar power storage, not Clearvue's path. They supply the source, after that it is the customers choice as to best use or store the power.
Most of the high rise office building could use the power generated on a daily basis, as it is being generated, with office lighting and power for computers.
There will not be enough generated to run A/c or all the process heating requirements but every bit helps in CO2 reduction and cost savings.
Having a window that generates power or does not generate power but looks the same, I know which one I would have.
All this is my opinion and I hope that everybody benefits from this product in the future.
