I agree, this is not about a public spat, but more about just being open. The Auditors allegations are either a load of BS or not.
At this point, we only have our (theoretically impartial) auditors version of the story. We can only take their version of the story at face value.
There may be another version, but we have not heard it. So what are we to believe?
Until I hear a corrected version, I have only one version to believe. Doesn't the auditors allegations suggest that the board are criminals (breaching the corporations act) which would be a frightening possibility for us shareholders? If they are, wouldn't ASIC would have taken further action? So why haven't they come out with the truth?
I have got to say, again, I am very worried about why they won't tell us about the ASIC story.
