That is correct. They can only issue a new class of options with a new expiry date. I have previously suggested this to Ken Russell but didn't hear back. They would most likely have to make any new offer to both optionholders and shareholders to ensure it is fair to all. Usually companies would issue new options with a nominal cost to cover administration expenses. As an example last year AOS waited until the options expired before announcing their rollover options issue so all hope is not lost yet.
