There will be a shortfall IMO otherwise why are they phoning all their shareholders asking if they are going to take up their allocation? i received my phone call yesterday
Why would you bother taking it up anyhow? It is not a good deal for the shareholders unless you are happy to hand over hard earnt cash!
Looking at the report released last night does not instill any confidence for the immediate future of KEY, they have just appointed a "negotiator" to establish the "potential" for gas sales in Tanzania.
It appears to me that commercialisation of KN#1 could be years away considering that they have to still establish how they are going to export the gas from the field and that is if they can find some customers that can afford to pay for the gas???
That is why they are so keen on the UK deal, to keep the pay packet going, after all if you do the sums the UK oil sales even at the "proposed" new BOPD figures, it is no cash cow.
If you hold KEY you are certainly going to need a lot of patience over the next couple of years to make any headway on your investment IMO.
