well if you take a look at fogl, they are spending money on surveys which are able to show DHI's , this is what i call de-risking, now they will know they have a play which just needs to be drilled, we know it won't tell you about flow rates etc,that only comes when the the wells are tested, but least it shouldn't be a dry hole!
from my understanding woodside decided they had enough information last time? just look at mauritiania, no one said deep water drilling is easy but why don't they de risk like fogl are doing atm?
