well the french axa owns about 57% so if there is a takeover it will be only them buying....
they tried it about 3 years ago....
you can be sure that, if that is their plan, they will manufacture some really really bad news about Axa Asia Pacific first, to make it (a) even cheaper and (b) appear to have very poor future prospects. I don't see any sign of that happening... yet.
