From what I have been reading there is significant opposition to the Junta and condemnation from the other countries in the region. Further the coup leaders have apparently written into the constitution that they can not stand in elections.

Im thinking that this will hopefully run out of puff and we will see elections in Mali in 2 months as was planned prior to the coup.

It is a waiting game but the drills continue to turn in Medinandi and from your article it is easy to see that whoever rules the country understands where their bread is buttered.
