yes Gavin is referring to writ of garnishment to a NY court that is seen to be pro arbitration awards recognition. The Thai government has US foreign reserves and gold sitting in US bank vaults like every sovereign state. The Thais (if stupid enough) could still challenge the enforcement but will
get the thumps down from the 156 jurisdictions signed up to UNCITRAL. Unfortunately for them the universal principle of due process and right to be heard is required before a state can ever claim public policy. Signal a Gong!
