I’ve had a better dig through the announcments for this purchase and can confirm the remaining $4million dollars for the ARSA projects in Karoo was paid to Areva via share issue in December 2013. The tone of that announcement suggests that it is a completed deal and I can’t see any suggestion that the deal can be unwound simply by handing back the mining rights.
Of course you could be right because there’s not much detail about the actual terms. Any chance Areva will hand back the shares ($5million dollar’s worth US albeit at a much higher entry price) if we hand back Karoo ?
Not much chance of course and this is just more waste we can attribute to past management.
