Latest shipping movements out of Geraldton indicate that December quarter total number of ships departing will be in the order of 34 or 35.
Average over the last 4 years has been 39.5 for Dec qrtr.
If this continues then exports for 2018FY will be in the order of only 7.9m tonnes, some 7.2% lower than last year which has a negative effect on the cost price of the magnetite ore.
