CCE must be going about the same process to get a project in Kalbarri as they did in Northam.
In Northam, there was no tendering process.
Instead, CCE took on the job of securing land, getting a detailed development plan ready and getting council approval all at their own expense and risk before Western Power would give them approval to connect to the grid.
As far as I know, Western Power could have refused to allow them to connect to the grid at the end of this process..
As far as I know, there has been no tendering process for Kalbarri.
If CCE does get to build a microgrid in Kalbarri, it is because they have gone through a similar process as they did in Northam.
In CCE's favour, is that they did get Western Power's go ahead at Northam.
In MO's words, "Western Power can be your best friend, or your worst enemy."
Let's hope it is the former.
