Well, if they had not purchased those assets, where would they be now. No Thalanga, no Mungana plant, no maitland, no Lounge Lizard, no Admiral bay. They would have nothing to work with now. I do not understand your logic, if they had not been buying up assets for the future they would have also been marked down by the market, not to mention being in even more strife now.
You are also missing the fact that many years ago, Kim said that Lounge Lizard would be sold off to help fund Admiral bay, due to the GFC they now have to offload it for other reasons. Lounge Lizard was never going to be kept, that's a fact as i spoke to Treacy at an AGM going back before the GFC
