    Bell Direct are very quick with executing trades (quicker than CommSec, anyway). Research is good, but I like CommSec's tables of financial data and such.

    Trade price is low (starting with $15), but money has to be in the account before a trade is possible - which can be a downer if you want to do an immediate purchase and the funds are elsewhere.
