Journal: Illegal waste dump in the Dragon's Orivesi mine

A Finnish quality journal "Suomen Kuvalehti" wrote last week 26.9., that Dragon Mining has an illegal waste dump in
the tunnels of the Orivesi mine. The story is based on stories of former employees (plural) and
includes pictures of the waste such as oil barrels, explosives boxes, metal and plastics (see first link).
The journalist noted that 100o liters waste oil was delivered to waste handling from the mine
while 12 000 liters of fresh oil is used. The operation may have continued even from Outokumpu times
more than 10 years.  
The country manager Ilpo Mäkinen commented: We will not comment the matter but we will examine,
that the instructions of the company have been followed, and that the matter will be taken very seriously
and examined thoroughly.
