They have needed to make this work for 10 years and haven't, numerous "new"mine plans, refinancing.
There has been no updates on the DMS and scrubber as no one on site not sure how they could be commissioned. 
Argyle shutdown has no relevance to Merlin and Gibb river likely to be producing anyway!
Uncle Joe as you describe him has been in charge for all this time also coming off a bankruptcy! don't know how many credits he has.
They have had a known resource with several years of mining and production data from RIO and they have failed to make it work.
So it is either they have tried everything possible and it's not a viable mine or they have failed to make it work.
Needs a complete overhaul starting at the top, get a team of experienced diamond mining management in charge and start over!
