It seems that some want to keep improving their pet house by gold plating the bathroom taps ....
Cool Hand would get a real chuckle out this list .... he'd strongly contend that the current in house geologists have done a sterling job, and more would not be better .... and would also claim SLR is doing most of the other things on the list .... or do you know for fact that they're not ? Granted, presentations etc have not been a strong point, but Cool Hand would say that until you've got something substantive & new to say, you're wasting your time & energy .... with the achievements announced in the new presentation, maybe now Cool Hand believes that its time to "throw the switch to vaudeville" ..... SLR's 2018 Diggers&Dealers presentation should create a much bigger splash .... not quite 2012 , but substantial.
And the "BOD & management should get a pay cut or be replaced" .... how's does that work when its the current BOD that would have to implement it ... LOL. Look at the last AGM votes .... despite all the huff & puff from Hot Copper, the collective protest vote was pathetically small.
John Hussman (look him up if you don't know of him) says that when one buys a share in a company you are buying an income stream for decades to come (all else is day trading) unless your an Amazon shareholder where it just grows like a cancer at the expense of rivals, pays no tax, pays no dividends, and makes the CEO the richest man in the known universe. Every miner is set up on the premise that they will unearth riches and return some of those to the shareholders, and many have .... SLR should be no different.
Endless expansion is not the prime objective of rational investment. SLR now has the capacity to pay a dividend in some form - cash or corporate action. Announcing a dividend would send a strong message to the investment community that SLR is confident about the future income stream, and hence is deserving of being labelled "investment grade". Presumably Len Eldridge appointment as Corporate Development Officer Effective from Jan 2018 was not a mere sinecure ..... but has some real purpose like corporate development ? ...... It's Time SLR ... SMTM !
