I just read again the latest presentation, and I'm convinced that based on the ongoing exploration results, plus the massive investment in infrastructure, restructuring etc, that SLR has an assured long term substantial income stream.
Currently SLR is on track to have almost half of its market cap as cash or cash equivalents. As a long suffering shareholder I strongly believe its time to either pay a dividend or invest the money in corporate activities that will expand the market cap so shareholders can benefit one way or another .
The current share price is merely on the way to recovering past losses, not compensating long term shareholders.
For those who are about to say that SLR is a speculative company and I shouldn't expect dividends .... don't be so stupid .... SLR produced more than 1m oz ver the last decade and is on track to produce the next 1m oz in 6 years.
A 5c dividend would amount to $26m, and should be sustainable - a special 10c dividend would cost $52m ..... or would you rather give it to BOD and staff salary increases and more LTI and STI's ...... I personally would have no objection to them being paid like NST if only they were like NST instead of ..... SLR.
