The Harbour entrance is protected from south easterlies by Point Cartwright headland the massive swells were on the surf beach - I will do a google earth screen shot - The swells are rolling around the headland so you are side on to the swell coming into the leads . - Its dropped way off from where it was Friday.
This is the current wind - the big seas and swells are east south east and are rolling around that headland the pics shows the swells rolling around the headland and coming in from the north east.

It reminds me of Kalbarri, I’ve never had to go in there but have watched a small/medium swell rolling through and understand enough to be comfortable on shore
There isn’t any danger if you know what your doing and have a boat that’s appropriate plus fast enough.
Dry feet has always been the name of my game.
