Does the latest negative news with Microsoft have any bearing with our beloved Thred?
"Microsoft Corp's turnaround just took a step backward. The software maker on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings that fell short of analyst's estimates because of a higher tax rate and said sales in the current period will fall short of some projections, sending the shares down in extended trading. CFO Amy Hood said results are being hurt by weakness by one-time purchases of software, what microsoft calls it's transactional business."
Microsoft fee 5% in extended hours trading.
Alphabet (aka Google), fell 7%.
