Tri I sinserely hope you are right about Guy McPherson. But remember these scientists have been warning us for decades now about what weve been doing. Some people were vocally skeptical back then. In fact they spent  millions spreading all types of reasons to doubt the scientists. Now 30 yrs since James Hanson first told the US congress we have a problem people are less skeptical about climate change ( only because its hurting them inbetween selfies of their favourite meals) but cant bring themselves to believe weve gone too far to reverse it.  I tend to believe we've pushed the boundaries too far and the feedback loops are now kicking in and taking control.
Once the big white reflector on the north pole is gone the ocean conveyor will stop. Weve already slowed the jet stream and hot air is regularly invading the arctic circle. Did you see the temps at the Nth pole last Feb,March ? No sun but about 30C above average. It actually got above Zero in the dark.  We are still emitting carbon at a record and increasing rate with no sign of it slowing. Population increasing. Not much to make me feel we have it all under control. A couple of yr's ago I was living in Singapore. You could choke on the shipping Nox outside. Everybody in aircon shopping like crazy looking for prestige brands. Greed is winning over longer term climate considerations. We have NO government in the world leading. We are heading for about 4-5C above todays temps. Could be 6-7C ... Give me one single concrete sign we are turning it around before we reach terminal heat levels. I cant find one example. Help me out. Im not that old ( under 60) and would like my son to have a happy life. All these shows about recycling (another deception) are just feel good fodder. The real game on energy is a no show. (Adani for god sake) I know people who watch TV about enhanced consumption of chinese junk to decorate their home. Mr and Mrs average dont see whats coming at all and the politicians have tuned into this self induced ignorance. We are being played.
