I used to think like you. But unfortunately the "crackpots" are rapidly proving to be canary's. We seem to have triggered some sort of tipping point in the last year or two that has no return, its feeding off itself now. Carbon in forests, soils and oceans are being re-gasified to join our fossil fuel burning emissions, hence the Co2 levels are going through the roof. ~320ppm when you were born, now 420PPM, the last 20ppm in as many months. These changes are catastrophic, life on earth cannot possibly adapt fast enough, as evidenced locally, the reef is bleached and NSW and Qld bake, thats mankinds new reality with a cascading list of symptoms worldwide. Undeniably the north pole is just one big slushy right now, seaside cliffs held together by permafrost slumping into the ocean as the remaining thin ice melts, ringfenced by burning boreal forest. Hence the planets air conditioner is on the blink, now intermittently blasting out hot air and cold as its jet stream flywheel has flown right off the arctic circle and pieces are flying everywhere

Anyhow, an eternal optimist as well as a realist, I continue to invest in GSL in the hope that solar panels might absorb some of the heat that the missing ice will no longer reflect back into space.
