Its definitely wrong to judge submissions based on count, the quality of the submissions i looked at was very poor, majority just ignorantly parroting each other based on Telstra publicity statements, they have no clue about the industry or economics.
Its just crazy of the ACCC to do nothing, the mobile industry is just obviously not working as efficiently as it could, and its only going to get worse in the bush with 5G. Doing nothing goes against the principle behind the NBN.
If the ACCC is opposed to sharing mobile infrastructure for the last mile, why arent they opposed to the NBN.
The ACCC just put it in the too hard basket IMO, and its dangerous to mess with Telstra, they still have a lot of political power, ACCC might find themselves defunded if they upset all those Coalition seats in the bush.
I doubt the ACCC draft decision will change, but HTA is right to question them.
