Bmer... I hear ya mate, double that amount and that would be almost as much as I lost in my first 4 years, Haven't lost in the last year but still a fair bit of shovelling before I am am "break even" from my initial ventures.

Now don't stress re "amount of time" I might spend on a post, I type like a demon, n have written priolly most of what I post about three times minimum so it all comes out ppurty quick, and just betwixt you n mee n the 100 odd people that will read this post... i actually get a LOT of good feelings Posting as I do...so beleive me this is an exchange in my favour as much as it might be in yours.

Quick sugestion, I have just spent the last three weeks at a place called FXBootcamp (fxbootcamp.com)

I would strongly recommend checking them out.. i think it costs about $240 a month to subscribe (n no I am not affiliated with these peoples in ANY way apart from subscribing to em for a month)

Basically... Live trading coaches.

With A HUGE emphasis on how NOT TO LOSE rather than so much on how to win.

If I had my time again as a very beginning trader, i would ...

Dump my live account, close it not touch it UNTIL I went through a similar course as FXBootcamp offer, n could prove via a test method that I knew my stuff, rather than throwing REAL money at the markets as one learns...

Ultimately, i now know that there is no substitute for time in the markets, and if you can capitalise on someone elses expereince... sheesh... beats the heck out of the costly process of learning through trading...
