Yort, you sound like you have taken offence and I don’t know whether to thank you or not for mis-guessing my age by so many decades !  I am a long term very frustrated holder of ALF and openly post of my frustration at the long term non-performance of ALF.

i would draw your attention to the first of the “donts” and that is not to be mean spirited ! And unlike your post I was not taking it personal except to JB.  Perhaps you ought not to take opposing views so personally.

I agree with you that Geoff has been increasing his interest in ALF from his own funds, (and I don’t believe I have ever stated otherwise) but, there has to be a reason for it.  Whilst part of the reason may be loyalty to JB, I cannot believe that, that is the complete and only reason. I am not suggesting a particular ulterior motive, it simply does not make sense to invest in a fund that is going nowhere simply for loyalty’s sake.

i am an investor too, but originally entered when it was a long only Australian equity fund kicking goals !

its no longer that and I have no one else to blame for my losses but myself for not getting out earlier, but am definitely entitled to hold a grudge against a manager who has gone nowhere in over 3 years.

As for my other “flawed points” ?  happy to discuss at any time and am always willing to accept when I’m wrong.

I learn something from everyone ! Sometimes its what to do, and sometimes it what Not to do !”
