Just a few more figures to consider:

During the past 6 months (i.e. 2 January to 7 July 2014) the shorting in EWC shares seems to point to two different patterns. The first three months of this year (2 January to 27 March, 2014) the reported short positions range from 55 million to 65 million shares, with a daily average shorting of 33% (range 8-64%) of daily trades. From 28 March to 7 July, 2014, both the reported short positions as well as the daily average shorting have been reduced (from 55-65million to 40-45million and from an average daily shorting of 33% to an average daily shorting of 26% (range:0-84%).

As far as EWC’s share price movement during these two 3months time periods is concerned, there is about a 10% drop in the share price range for these two time periods (28.5 cents to 40.5 cents from 2/1/14-27/3/14 and from 27 cents to 37 cents for the time period 28 March to 7 July). In line with Mont’s 11 July prediction (maybe a couple of cents pull back soon would be healthy) which came true, all of us ‘longs’ hope that his second prediction (…and then up through 40 cents) will also become true.
