They appear to have two major issues debt and the rollout to the NHfIT.

The debt is manageable only about 70% of gross income true the interest is high but this can be reduced.

The rollout that is getting so much press is a very complex project that has achieved most of its goals it is just tidying up loose ends now. Some of the press items have been a beat-up for example one said it incorrectly marked someone as dead. According to the bug reports this was on an advisory pop-up message not written to the database.
