Y1980 in answer to your question, “why would they (AVQ) not develop it (KOLOSORI tenement) when they have a ML over.”  Because the KOLOSORI ML was under a legal challenge in HIGH COURT THROUGHOUT THE TIME AVQ SPENT MILLIONS EXPLORING IT !!! 
There was always a very big chance AVQ’s Kolosori ML would be cancelled. As was the same risk with SMM’s LOI ISSUED TO IT UNDER TENDER PROCESS OVER SAME AREA. 
Why then risk Millions AVQ shareholder $$$ until the courts made their final determination. 
Good leadership or prudence was NOT displayed by RM here. How you can see any other perspective from this is fascinating to say the least.
