Agreed.
I've always been strongly sceptical of all the social media updates from CT participants across any clinical trial.
It's really like giving the placebo effect steroids if you have patients reading & writing to each other as soon as one claims some effect either positive or negative you can almost guarantee that the one reading it will start to "notice" that same effect.
Placebo effect is amazing as it is but when you start feeding it sheeeeesh.
Like the article implies though - what can you do ? social media is now firmly fixed in society.
+ that doesn't even include "anonymous" posters that can patch up a fake SM profile and start posting left & right about a drug trial they have nothing to do with.
