Buffett didn't corner silver I believe over 20 years prev he was long Ag and down at expiry, but demanded physical delivery. As the short had nil silver to deliver a backroom deal was made where Buffett didn't take loss on long position. As for canny decisions he can pick companies with long term good fundamentals as for futures he's been far from impressive. Shorting the USD along with the rest of the world 2-3 years prev, just before the 20%+ rally. And basically f**ked up by selling silver too early.
