STO plans to sell several of its Asian assets to British production and exploration company Ophir Energy for $US221 million. OXX will be out of their only overseas asset if Petronas take-on Ophir Production (OPSB) and reimburse OXX and the other partners. Is the stage set for STO to take-on OXX with all their proven Australian o&g NW assets? This move wouldn't do STO any harm and would add more blue sky to STO making it even more attractive as a take-over proposition. The STO suitors are keen to secure more clean LNG for the future.
