In the scheme of things, CAZ has the benifit of having a 10-year strong grade iron ore project in a political stable jurisdiction. Freeprom, many of those west african miners you mentioned have huge political risk and there still remains doubt in many investors minds whether even SDL will, in fact, produce. CAZ, on the other hand, regardless of the mining tax, has no barriers (other than Kwinnana port ;)) to production - the australian government does not get their hands dirty in the mining industry and say who can and cannot produce with regards to iron ore companies. The mining tax may have some impact on the bottom line results for CAZ but it will have little impact in regards to the short term price movements of this company. You have to sense that something is just around the corner and possibly even this week.
