""Unlucky Lachie Lachlan Murdoch hasn't been having much fun of late. Need we say Consolidated Media Holdings?
But the Opes Prime blow-up has drawn attention to some of his other playthings.
Is it really less than a year since Lachlan's Illyria disclosed it held about 2 per cent of the digital media company Destra? When he swapped his stake in Quickflix for a chunk of Destra, his new toy was valued at $1.25 million.
But since then Destra's shares have headed a touch south. And its fortunes haven't been helped by the Opes problem, including its boss Domenic Carosa getting whacked with a margin call. That had the rather unfortunate consequence of ruining Destra's chances of getting its mitts on Beyond International.
All of which leaves Lachlan's stake worth not much more than $350,000.
Say, wonder if that $800 million line of credit for CMH Lachlan stitched up is still on offer from ANZ? ""
