Going to take a very long time for USA to develop a complete supply chain of its own, if ever.
China has learnt hard lessons from the REO price bubble and resultant demand destruction that followed. Doubt they would be silly enough to do anything that would cause the same issues again. What the RE sector needs to ensure continued growth is a readily available supply of REO at reasonable prices.
