Time will show the CSG in Qld:

1. Added huge income streams to state coffers
2. Created decent wealth for suppliers supporting the industry and its employees
3. Drought proofed 1000's of farms via royalties and in some cases via potable water supplies
4. Did not cause farm prices to drop
5. Did not cause any environmentally disastrous outcomes
6. Did not cause groundwater levels to drop and
7. Did not pollute shallow acquirers.

In NSW, Greens and Get Up activists convinced an entire government and millions of residents that CSG would be the roon of the state and its precious farming lands. I am not sure how those activists will try to justify their actions over the next 5-10 years as it becomes clear rural communities and CSG can coexist and even flourish together with no environmental degradation.
