Thanks for the link to the Wyckoff article. Very interesting but it's easy to get caught up in the trading strategy and miss the obvious element that makes the whole thing worthwhile....knowing in advance that good news is coming.
Clearly with this sort of trading it isn't going to be a "secret strategy" when you use a ham fisted methodology to execute 9 trades at the same volume (3070) on the same day. More like an "amateur trading strategy" when executed like this on days of low liquidity.
Would cost an average punter like me $90 in brokerage to execute those trades, if Commsec would allow them, which they wouldn't since the value is less than $500.
I suppose it works well enough if you assume 98% of shareholders don't look at the course of trades, just the opening and closing prices.
So I think we are back to...is the half yearly going to be positive?
