It's also worth keeping in perspective that the Anglophone region, where the in-country troubles are, is in small pockets and a long way from Canyon properties, rail lines, ports and the day to day living of 90% of Cameroon. So while of consequence, especially for the citizenry caught up in the mess, it is unlikely to have a direct impact on Canyon.
Canyon have the opportunity to advance the economy in a tangible way for all of Cameroon as well as CAY share holders. All the inputs required to dig and ship bauxite will filter out into the larger community. That spend flows through the local and national economy. Of course if the Cameroon government can get pro active about solving the Anglophile problems everyone will be better off. In that vein I notice a number of recent development projects have been targeted at Anglophone regions.
