The following article appeared in todays Business Spectator. It refers to Beach's bid for Drillsearch, and Beach's intention to make further acquisitions "of a similar dimension" to Drillsearch.
When Beach bid for Drillsearch, one of the main arguements it proffered was that Drillsearch had no CEO, and needed strong mgt.
Mosaic has no CEO, is undervalued on just about any measure, is debt free, strong cash flow, and has had terrific success in its latest drilling.
The Mosaic share register is wide open.
COULD BEACH BE LOOKING AT MOSAIC ?
*********************** Beach Petroleum
Closer to home, Beach Petroleum chief executive Reg Nelson has flagged further acquisitions, following the company's record annual production figures. Adelaide-based Beach, which has zero net debt, is in the midst of a takeover battle for Drillsearch Energy, its joint venture partner in the Cooper Basin. Beach did not name any future acquisition targets, but they are believed to be of a similar dimension.
