Perhaps another worry is that Navy is conducting shock testing on the LCS over the next few weeks. This is as close to combat as you can get. Live rounds are exploded near the ships hull and survivability is measured.
From what I read there is deep concern that the LCS (both types) will perform poorly, perhaps even incur damage close to sinking.
I have no idea how the ships will perform and obviously there are a lot of people out there that are against these ships but it seems that June is a critical time for the LCS, Austal and Lockheed.
Perhaps another worry is that Navy is conducting shock testing...
