Yep! Your right, the shareholders didn't vote for Portman, a company with extensive knowledge of the iron ore industry. The powers behind the throne had no intention in allowing them on the Board, might have seen what was going on behind the scene.
One other thing and it's this. Just because the shareholders didn't vote Portman in didn't make it a smart move on their part. The proof is in the pudding. Since then the company has gone nowhere. Oops! sorry, we HAVE gone somewhere, we have gone backwards! No need to blame the GFC or anyone else not even the humble shareholder, the fault lies with management. Regards
