Whats Mt Cobalt worth?? Its an interesting thought, I start thinking why doesnt IRR just buy ANW out entirely??

Is it better value to have many offshoots or just several large entities... i.e would DGR be better off going down the South 32/BHP route, with IRR/ SOLG or are there some advantages to having these smaller offshoots??

I guess if the company is smaller the asset can rise faster particularly when the mkt is rising, but what about when the market is contracting (and you can see it will be bad for a while i.e 2012?? Well you could amelgeamate companies and leave the shells empty, pay fees on them, and then either reboot em when the time is right in the cycle or just sell the shells as demand rises for them..
