Results from the samples have been at the lab for about 2 weeks now. Announcement on iron content analysis may be by the end of this week or next? Am also expecting we should get an announcement soon on the flight data over the corunna downs iron ore project. In the mean time while we wait ( and also wait for more gold announcements, there are also a couple due soon), Giralia Resources announced their quarterly activity report today and for those interested in nearology, GIR have several projects in WA, and two of them are either side of GDA's Corunna project which is where we are waiting on the flight data and the 3 or 4 hundred samples.
GIR's Dalton project is to the west of Corunna and their McPhee Ck project ( both iron ore), is to the East ( SE to be more specific)
..." Daltons Iron Ore Project (75%): An initial iron ore resource was announced late in the quarter for the Mt Webber deposit (Daltons JV). The near‐surface, low alumina discovery is within road haulage distance of Port Hedland. A Scoping Study is in progress to evaluate development options, with a Base Case of truck/ship via Port Hedland.
o Overall Resource; 40.0 Mt @ 57.3%Fe, 1.42% Al2O3
o Includes higher grade zone; 24.6 Mt @ 59.0%Fe, 1.33% Al2O3
• McPhee Creek Iron ore Project (100%): Outstanding new drilling results received after the end of the quarter confirm a significant new hematite iron ore discovery at McPhee Creek, located 220 km SE of Port Hedland; 90 metres @ 58.6% Fe, 1.7% Al2O3 from surface, 58 metres @ 59.0% Fe,
1.5% Al2O3, 62 metres @ 57.3% Fe, 2.4% Al2O3 from surface, 42 metres @ 60.1% Fe, 2.2% Al2O3. Resource definition drill‐out is planned to commence in November."
Both are high grade Fe and low contaminants.
On page 2 of 19 in their report, the map shows the two projects ( with red stars) which are either side of GDA's 10km long x 800m wide project ( just down from Marble Bar township)
PS, I don't own shares in GIR.
