At first I thought the story was being rehashed but it actually isn’t.

Vale dams in Ouro Preto reach maximum alert level and sirens will be activated

Vale's Forquilha I and III dams, in Ouro Preto, in the Central Region of Minas Gerais, have moved to level three of risk of disruption on Wednesday night (27). According to the miner, sirens will be activated as a precautionary measure in the self-rescue zone.
Vale reported that the sirens are part of the Emergency Action Plan for Mining Dams (PAEBM) and that there was no disruption. Residents of the region that could be hit in an eventual breakup of these two dams left the house on February 20 this year. According to Vale, no further evacuations will be necessary.
